Responsibilities

The PMHNP role at NIE Health revolves around the nursing process and therapeutic relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

• Educating patients and families,
• Diagnosing and managing acute illnesses, providing psychotherapy, prescribing medication, care coordination, referrals, ordering and interpreting lab tests, diagnostic studies, and offering preventative care.
• These services are delivered through various modalities, including telephonic or video consultation, education for providers, resource coordination, collaboration with peers, and both in-person and virtual consultations.
